WHATCH OUT FOR CAR DEALER SCAMS

Most of us feel two things when we go shopping for a new
car. One is the dread of those car dealers swooping in on
you before you can even get out of your car. But you're
excited about purchasing a new car. There are many good
dealerships out there that will give you the space you need
plus has a good reputation when it comes to the car
dealers. However, there are those less than reputable
dealerships that will sell you car that is guaranteed to
fall apart as soon as you drive off the car lot.

Your best defense against those dreaded salesmen is being
informed about the kind of car you want and the dealership
you're thinking of going to for that new car. The sale of a
new car should leave both you and the salesperson feeling
like the day has been beneficial to the both of you. So
prepare yourself and bone up on your auto dealership
skills.

You should study up on buying a car just as you would if
you were buying anything else that's expensive, say for
example a new washer & dryer or dishwasher. You would drive
around town checking out prices and who has the best deals.
You would be all over those new appliances, opening doors,
pushing buttons, kicking the tires, so to speak. So buying
a new or used car is no different.

One buying auto secret is the two best times to buy a new
car. The first time is at the end of December. Most people
don't think about buying a car this time of year because
they've got "jingle bell's" on their minds. Car dealers are
very eager to have people come in and will have all kinds
of incentives to get people interested. The second time
is between the months of July to October. New cars are
coming in so dealers want to get rid of last years
inventory. You can find some really good deals at this time,
sometimes up to $5 thousand off a new car.

Online is one good place to look for good car deals. Many
dealers will offer good rebates and dealer incentives.
There are also good websites that will help you choose a
good used car. These websites research certain used cars
on the market and check the history of these cars. Of
course you will not be buying a car online, you still need
to go for a test drive and such, but the Internet is a good
place to start and will save you from running all over the
place.

You should also know your credit score. This is a dreaded
topic for some, however, it's a necessary truth. Knowing
your credit score will at least know where you stand at
a financial point of view. You will have some idea of your
bargaining power and if you have any or not. A good credit
score will mean a lower interest rate for you and if your
credit is not so good then be prepared to pay a higher
interest rate because unfortunately you are considered
somewhat of a credit risk. Don't feel alone about this
though, more people have poor credit scores than they
would care to admit, in time, you can prove your credit
worthiness once again.
